Yahtzee Cup #30 - A Tale of Two Days

Yahtzee Cup #30 - an important contest, a milestone that became an epic confrontation marked by blazing streaks and one long pause before climax.

Coming off his first Yahtzee Cup since March, Killer Pimp J. John Johnny John (KPJJJJ) looked to start strong and capture his 11th, tying him with Roman Castevet (RC) for most Cups. Meanwhile, Chariots of Yahtzee (COY) waited for her chance to capture No. 9.

Day #1 (7/31/08)

Game #1

KPJJJJ started strong, with an early Yahtzee that RC quickly matched, COY followed with one of her own. But KPJJJJ threw a second one to put it out of reach.

KPJJJJ 401/ RC 262/ COY 208

Yahtzees: KPJJJJ (2), RC (1), COY (1)

Game #2

A closer contest this time out, with a pair of Yahtzees from KPJJJJ and RC keeping things close. But RC gets no Large Straight and that makes the difference.

KPJJJJ 298/ RC 280/ COY 234

Yahtzees: KPJJJJ (1), RC (1)

Game #3

Another Yahtzee for the Pimp, and his rivals score none, setting up his third victory in a row, one shy of the never-accomplished Yahtzee Cup Sweep. COY keeps it close, while RC fades to 3rd place.

KPJJJJ 288/ COY 242/ RC 154

Yahtzees: KPJJJJ (1)

To quote COY's card, "Yipe!" - could the Pimp finish things off?

The tide begins to turn...

TO BE CONT'D
